Recycling Polypropylene or PP

PP waste PP waste

Recycling PP is one of Socaplast’s core activities. Socaplast is able to recycle PP waste such as margarine and spread tubs, crates, bottle tops, big bags and production scrap such as nappies, carpet fibres, sprue fragments, runner waste and bumpers. If required, Socaplast is also able to granulate the scrap plastic into smaller granules, offering a cheap alternative to new material. Many companies not only opt for recycled material because it is cheaper, but also increasingly for environmental reasons. Waste does not necessarily always have to go to landfill! Socaplast’s extrusion line produces an output of 9000 tons a year. Both the colour and the melt flow can be adjusted to meet the customer’s requirements. Socaplast is able to carry out a whole series of tests in its own lab for MFI, hardness, specific gravity and moisture content. Socaplast also has a laboratory extrusion line and an injection machine, which ensure that all the supplied materials meet the necessary quality requirements.
