Extrusion

We use extrusion to produce thermoplastics. Plastic waste (PP, PE, PS, PVC regrind flakes, pellets, powder and agglomerate) is funnelled into a long heated cylinder. One or two rotating screws kneed and plasticize the waste forcing the syrupy mass through a perforated mould. Sharp blades then cut the extruding strings of plastic into pellets. These pellets are then packed into big bags, octabins or sacks. Many tonnes of waste plastic are usually required for heating up the machine.
